Description
Derbyshire Community Health Services NHS Foundation Trust (DCHS) is a successful and person-centred organisation rated ‘Outstanding’ by the CQC, delivering a broad range of community services across a significant and diverse geography, serving a patient population of more than 1.1 million people across Derbyshire and Derby. At the heart of DCHS are our 4,400 colleagues, whose wellbeing and development we prioritise to deliver exceptional and patient-centred care. We are well-led, with our vision, mission, culture, and values embedded across the organisation, committed to working together with our colleagues, partners, and communities to improve the wellbeing of our populations across Derby and Derbyshire as a key member of the ‘Joined Up Care Derbyshire’ Integrated Care System.
Following the appointment of Michelle Bateman to a national position with NHS England, we are now seeking an exceptional, values-driven, and inclusive Executive Director of Quality, Nursing and Allied Health Professionals to join our Board. As our lead for quality, patient safety, patient experience and safeguarding, you will provide professional leadership and strategic direction for our nursing and allied health professionals. Ensuring alignment with our mission to deliver safe, effective, and patient-centred care, you will promote a focus on continuous improvement and bring progressive thinking to the development of our services and partnerships. As a visible leader and role model for our values and behaviours, our Executive Director of Quality, Nursing and Allied Health Professionals will champion our inclusive and compassionate culture.
We are seeking an innovative and experienced nursing leader, with a track record of operating at or close to Board level, to deliver effective and efficient, high-quality, safe care in complex health and care environments. You will be an adaptable, visible and engaging communicator, with a strong focus on coproduction, and the ability to inspire and influence across a diverse and varied range of stakeholders both internally and externally. Comfortable in developing partnerships and new ways of working, you will thrive in supporting strong partnerships with partners and communities to influence and deliver real improvement in the health and wellbeing of our populations.
We want our Board to be as inclusive and diverse as possible, and we value individuals who bring lived experience that equips them both for the leadership aspects of the role but also allows them to bring an understanding of some of the challenges faced by our communities. We welcome and encourage applications from the widest possible range of backgrounds.
